ONedSsChat is Expanding Across Canada and Crossing Borders!

The Ontario EDU Student Twitter Chat (@ONedSsChat) is expanding to include K-12 classes across Canada and the United States – and you’re invited!

What is @ONedSsChat?

@ONedSsChat is a student-led Twitter Chat that connects K-12 students anywhere in North America to discuss topics related to character education, social justice, and citizenship. #ONedSsChat creates opportunities for students to network with others, gain perspective, build relationships with new learning partners in a literacy-rich learning environment, experience social media as a powerful platform for learning, and establish a positive digital footprint.

Our Mission

Connecting and empowering K-12 students across Ontario to lead, learn, share and act together to create positive change.

CHAT QUESTIONS:

Music and Mental Health

1. Why do you listen to music?

2. Why should teachers use music in class and/or allow students to listen to their own music?

3. How does music affect your mental health? Positively/ negatively?

4. What impact does creating music have on your mental health? Why?

5. What are you favourite songs/bands for different moods and/or activities? (For example, what songs/ bands motivate you #MotivationMusic, help you study #StudyMusic, help you sleep #SleepMusic, etc.)

*These same 5 questions will be used for the Slow Chat all month long. Where necessary, questions have been reworded for younger Tweeters. We recommend classes spend time answering the questions ahead of time so time during the chat can be spent liking tweets, retweeting, quoting tweets in reply, and collaborating with others.
